Family Support and Preservation Program
The Family support Program is a family centered, community based program that provides a continuum of services for the purposes of strengthening and improving family functioning so that the needs of family members can be met and unnecessary out-of-home placements can be prevented, while ensuring the well-being and safety of children and all other family members.
The Family Support Program offers a continuum of services, such as direct provision or referral for basic needs. The following services are available:
Help families identify strengths and resources
Assist in locating emergency shelter
Provide emergency food, diapers and clothing
Provide information about positive parenting
Assist in obtaining child day care
Help enroll in GED preparation programs
Assist families in connecting with community resources
Provide family members with supportive counseling
Help parents and individuals find jobs
