Child and Family Counseling
BFCS Child and Family Counseling is a family-centered, strength-based program promoting positive child development and emotional well being, and strengthening the family's ability to provide a safe, stable and secure home environment.
Child and Family Counseling provides a full range of outpatient behavioral health services to children under 18 and their families. Services are tailored to meet individual needs and overcome a wide range of behavioral, emotional or relationship problems, while promoting healthy family dynamics.
Service planning – selecting treatment goals and planning an intervention – and decision making is done within the context of a Child and Family Team consisting of family members and other supporters, professionals and non-professionals who are involved in the child's life and are concerned with the child’s well being.
The Child and Family Team provides continuous support and guidance in the delivery of services during the implementation of the service plan.

Adult Outpatient Counseling
The BFCS Adult Outpatient Counseling Program
BFCS Adult Outpatient Counseling services are available for individuals over 18 years of age, couples and families dealing with unexpected challenges, or traumatic events, coping with personal and interpersonal conflicts, addressing ongoing emotional problems or self-defeating behavior that interfere with the ability to carry out life’s major activities.
The community-based program is founded on coordination of care that emphasizes client engagement, grief counseling, regular monitoring and review of progress while providing referrals to community resources and support services.
Following an initial assessment and diagnosis, client and counselors working in partnership, identify problem situations and select those interventions which will help the client achieve a stable, productive and satisfying life within their family and community.
