Happy Family

BFCS strives to strengthen and support children, individuals and families to foster an improved quality of life.

Our Essentials Program is designed to provide a hand up, not just a handout, to individuals and families struggling through difficult times.

This is a community-based program that offers support to the community during crisis, transition or to maintain stabilization. This program is designed to offer direct services to both families and individuals, in goal-oriented planning and achievement.

Services include but are not limited to:

  • Inspired Food Pantry offers both emergency food boxes, as well as a weekly food box distribution. Each food box is created with the idea of promoting health and well-being

  • The Community Closet has the capacity to assist families with clothing, baby formula, diapers, hygiene items, backpacks, school supplies and other essential household items

  • Emergency rental or utility assistance for extreme situations

  • Workforce development training and resume writing assistance

  • Case management and continuum of care, designed to assist and support both individuals and families

  • Resource referrals to other agency services not offered in-house such as legal, housing, workforce development and employment
